A lifelong lover of books, Jessica (a.k.a "Queen J" or "J.L.") first put pen to paper at the age of nine with short stories, journals, plays, and more.
Jessica Smith, Ed.D is the founder and CEO of Queen J Reads and the inventor and curriculum developer of the Kid Forward literacy program.
She applies strategies in the area of teaching and coaching as an adjunct professor in the areas of Liberal Studies and English while advocating for literacy and learning as host and producer of The 100Lit Podcast Show, a podcast about books that features the work of writers new and seasoned.
She is additionally the author of the Middle-Grade Wicked Unearth Book Series—a diverse series set in the seaside fictional town of Bear Valley, Rhode Island—and remains committed to spreading the joy of reading and learning to everyone, especially the next generation.
